Notice for all Water Craft Left on the Beaches
Beginning in
2012
ALL Water Craft on beaches and racks will need to be permitted by Memorial day
or run the risk of being removed. Permits will be limited to 2 per address.
Please contact a board member to obtain a permit. For this year only the permits
are of no cost, but starting next year there will be a fee.
Friends of the Lakes
At the 2008 Alton Shores Association Annual Meeting, it was unanimously voted to
participate with Place’s Pond Homeowners Association in a voluntary lake/pond
water quality monitoring program run by DES. Donations for this important
activity will be placed in a separate account. Please consider a donation of any
amount, made out to Alton Shores Association and note on the check “Friends of
the Lakes.” This donation is greatly appreciated and will go towards keeping
both Sunset Lake and Hills Pond as clean and beautiful as they are.
